Dog Assistance in Disability (Dog A.I.D.) Request

Dog A.I.D. (Assistance in Disability) empowers physically disabled people throughout the UK to train their own pet dogs to quality as Assistance Dogs, supported by our volunteer professional dog trainers.
Our highly skilled volunteers develop the training to meet individual needs.
Dog A.I.D. partnerships build independence, wellbeing and confidence. We also reduce isolation and the need for constant care.
What are they looking for?
We are seeking a Chair and we are also recruiting an additional Trustee. Our charity is currently governed by a Board comprising of up to 10 trustees who collectively oversee and have legal responsibility for Dog A.I.D.'s governance, management, values and strategic development. For the Chair of Trustees role, the ideal candidate will provide the strategic leadership and guidance needed to work with our Board of Trustees, staff and volunteer teams to grow the charity and empower more disabled people to improve their quality of life and independence. For the trustee role, the ideal candidate will have at least one of the following skills/experience: - HR or training; - Leadership; - Marketing and PR; - Team development; - Safeguarding; - Conflict resolutions; - Charity/Employment law.
