Human Milk Foundation Request
The Human Milk Foundation’s vision is a world where every baby has access to human milk. We are working to build services that can provide nationally equitable access to donor human milk where breastfeeding is impossible or taking time to establish, develop educational programmes and facilitate research.
What are they looking for?
The HMF is recruiting for new Trustees who share our team’s ambitious goal to create a new model of human milk bank services, and navigate their integration into perinatal care services. We need your energy and enthusiasm and offer opportunities to participate in a range of projects both within the HMF and with external collaborators. The Trustees are a strong team, navigating rapid growth in this young charity by challenging and supporting the operational team. What skills do I need? Personal integrity, ability to challenge, and good judgement are essential. We are particularly keen to encourage a Board made up of people who can bring diversity of thought, helping the charity to create truly inclusive services that reach those in most need. We therefore would greatly encourage applications from applicants from minority ethnic groups, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community, as well as those who have never been Trustees in the past. The HMF is particularly looking for Trustees with some experience in the one or more of the following: Law Fundraising Research Health policy Campaigning Human rights Diversity and inclusion Human resources
