Lifting Limits Request

Organisation Description

Lifting Limits’ mission is to challenge gender stereotyping and promote gender equality, in and through education. Gender stereotyping surrounds children from birth, limiting their choices and aspirations – with lifelong effects. We work with primary schools and early years settings, supporting them through training and resources to recognise stereotyping in the school environment and equip their pupils to challenge stereotyping wherever they may encounter it in the wider world. Our vision is that every child make their own path in life, free from expectations of them according to their gender.

What are they looking for?

Lifting Limits is looking for someone with fundraising expertise who is excited about our work to join our board of Trustees. With grants currently our largest source of income, this voluntary role involves bringing expertise in the fundraising field to support the Chief Executive with our fundraising strategy, with more detailed fundraising input from time to time. A consultancy supports our fundraising applications day to day, so the new trustee’s value added will be largely strategic and advisory, helping to guide and shape long term sustainable growth.
