Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) Request

Organisation Description

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is an international institute with a mission to address power abuse and relieve poverty through the use of restorative justice values and practices.

We advance community cohesion and human rights, as we redistribute power in a more equal way by delivering social justice and poverty relief projects, educational programmes and high quality volunteering opportunities to the most marginalised groups of society while supporting civil society to achieve its mission.

We pursue our mission by delivering social justice and poverty relief projects, educational programmes and youth clubs, intercultural dialogue, internships and high quality volunteering opportunities to the most marginalised groups of society.

We do this by using the power of education, sports and art, as well as the practices and values of restorative justice such as power sharing, fairness, equality, dignity and respect.

What are they looking for?

RJ4All has an important Non-Executive Director (NED) vacancy. The NED is expected to join and collaborate with the Board of our international, charitable institute to execute advisory tasks, including: - Embracing our holistic approach to crime prevention and poverty relief and steering RJ4All’s strategic direction for its local, national and international operations. - Contributing practical input and ideas alongside other Board members and Executive Director Dr. Theo Gavrielides, through advisory and active participation in the quarterly Board meetings and our annual away day. - Acting in trust and compliance with and general company and the Companies Act 2006 to carry out duties to the company among other responsibilities. The NED will share our values, vision and ambition and will want to join a diverse and passionate team endeavouring to improve society by addressing power abuse and promoting equality and human rights. We are open to all kinds of applications including those that might not have a strong academic background. We want a diverse RJ4All Board that consists of passionate individuals with a mixture of practical, research, academic as well as lived experiences.
