The Loss Foundation Request

Organisation Description
The Loss Foundation is a charity dedicated solely to providing bereavement support following the loss of a loved one to cancer, whether that be spouses, family members, friends or colleagues. We also offer specific COVID-19 loss support.
We provide a variety of events to support people at any point during their loss and we create opportunities for them to meet others who have had similar experiences. We also provide workshops and training to educate and empowers others to support those who are grieving.
What are they looking for?
We are seeking support with shaping our strategy and marketing our services as we focus on a significant period of organisational growth. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, our support events were in-person and exclusively South-based. Since moving online, we support people across the UK and our users now tell us they need to connect in-person with those who share similar experiences of loss. We want to grow our user-led 'Walk and Talk' events nationwide and provide opportunities for our users to receive in-person support across the UK. We would appreciate support with outreach, i.e promoting our events in new areas to encourage a greater number of attendees. We would also appreciate strategic advice regarding how we can adapt and manage the demand on our services resulting from expanding our 'Walk and Talk' events nationally and ultimately increasing our number of users. Alongside this, we also offer corporate training and we hope to also grow this offering. The ideal volunteer will have skills/experience in either marketing or business strategy. We have provided both in-person and online training previously, but we hope to expand this to pre-recorded training via the new online course section on our website. We would sincerely appreciate strategic support and advice from a volunteer regarding our 'Walk and Talk' events and corporate training offering to improve our outreach.
